Sarah Lawall, Ph.D. Yale, is Professor of Comparative Literature at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Her publications include Critics of Consciousness: The Existential Structures of Literature and Reading World Literature: Theory, History, Practice.
Maynard Mack is Sterling Professor of English Emeritus at Yale University.
Jerome W. Clinton, Ph.D. Michigan, is Professor of Near Eastern Studies at Princeton University. Good set of books......

The main reason I like this set of books is that with all the footnotes contained in the stories, it is extremely easy to follow a plot. Another reason I like these books is that they are broken up into three volumes. It is much easier to lug around a 1000 page book than a 3000 page book. They are a necessary evil in College World Lit, but they are definitely the best of what is out there.

Part of the Best Anthology Series Ever

This is part of a set of the best literature anthology's in print-possibly ever. Norton publishes not only a set on World literature, but also sets on English and American literature. These sets are designed for college lit classes. All of these sets survey their titled literatures very well and contain the works of all the well-known writers and also many writers that are less known. I enjoy going through these volumes and discovering really good writers and works I had never known before. I give all the volumes in all the Norton series my highest recommendation.
