Weaving Memory Feeds a Need

A friend recommended 'Weaving Memory: A Guide to Honoring the Ancestors'. It is a modest book in size and content - until you realize that you have read it three times in the past 6 weeks. I do not have words to adequately describe what Need this modest text is feeding, only that it does, for me. Please consider purchasing it. It may have the same effect on you.

Great book for ancestor worship!

This book is written by the author Laura Patsouris. This book is probably the most comprehensive that I have ever read about ancestors. A lot of other books I have read only touched base with that you should have an ancestor connection and house in some way but never truly explained how you went about contacting your ancestors or working with them.
This book has a few stories by the author and others who tell some of their experiences. I have to admit that some of what they said really touched me in an emotional way. It made me see not just the benefits that are attached to this practice but the love that is given and received by working with the ancestors.
The author gives specific instructions of how to work with your ancestors and how to contact them. The way she explains it is very simple. Things like creating an altar with heirlooms, pictures, or even doing devotional things like wearing a persons favorite sweater. She also discussed about what to do if some of your family was mean or abusive. She said not all people will be like that in your line and you can go further back. She also discussed community ancestors, ones who are shown throughout history that drastically changed the way things were to make way for us. There was even a situation about someone who’s ancestor was protecting them against another ancestor who was very abusive in life.
All and all, If you have been looking for a book about ancestor worship or honoring your ancestors, this is the book to pick up!

Excellent book on how to start working with your ancestors

My husband and I recently purchased this book because we wanted to expand our spiritual work to encompass more of our ancestors. This book was recommended by a friend of mine and I am so glad I bought it. It is a great book to get you started on the path to ancestor work. The book is a great read, I have already recommended it to one friend who bought it. And it is going on my suggested reading list for my students. Thank you for writing this much needed book on a subject that needs more recognition and dedication.
